Spanish law firm Araoz & Rueda has advised Mazuelo Holding on the acquisition of an additional 11.87 per cent stake in the winery Barón de Ley. The acquisition of this additional stake means Mazuelo, company controlled by Eduardo Santos-Ruiz- now owns 85.53 of the Spanish winery, remaining as the main shareholder of the company with 3,500,326 shares.
Partner Alejandro Fernández de Araoz and associates Guillermo Bueno and Mª Antonia Pérez have advised Mazuelo on capital markets , while partner Rafael Bazán has advised on the financing of the transaction with Caixabank (advised by Gómez-Acebo & Pombo).
Barón de Ley’s share capital is listed on the four Spanish stock exchange markets: Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao and Valencia. With 190 employees, the winery is part of the group of companies El Coto de Rioja, Bodegas Máximo, Viñedos Barón de Ley, Finca Museum and Dehesa Barón de Ley.
